The Mission
To create a SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY for active outdoor women to find the knowledge, inspiration, power, and camaraderie to do the sports they love, create new experiences, and go confidently after every adventure with the CORRECT GEAR.
To give a COLLECTIVE VOICE in the outdoor sporting world by consistently listening to the needs of women and collecting data to help manufactures know what’s needed and what will sell.
To provide the BEST GEAR available to women and constantly seek out BETTER DESIGNS for our online retail store.
To REPRESENT REAL WOMEN of all ages, sizes, races, and gender identities. We believe that outdoor adventures increase courage, self-esteem, confidence, and wellbeing and should REPRESENT YOU.
To be a STEWARD of this planet by giving back to non-profits that support CONSERVATION.
To give a portion of our profits to FUND FEMALE DESIGNERS and create a platform to bring their ideas to market.
The Plan to Create Change
We recognize that the gear industry has a problem when it comes to creating better gear for women—the need to redesign products and manufacture them. This is a huge cost and risk for many companies. WE CAN CHANGE THIS TOGETHER.
Owning the Market: We will influence the market through our online retail store where we sell the best of women’s gear creating a customer base that knows what it needs and is willing to buy it. As our community grows we will seek out manufacturers who are willing to listen while we create the MARKET THEY NEED IN ORDER TO INVEST IN NEW DESIGNS.
Funding Female Gear Designers: There are many women with great ideas on how to build better gear for women, but they can’t find the funding to make it happen. Women are the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs, but have the hardest time getting funding. As a community we will provide “Pay it Forward Grants” that will be funded by DONATIONS, PRE-PRODUCTION ORDERS and 10% PORTION OF ALL PROFITS from this site.
More Diversity in Outdoor Adventure Sports: It’s time to end the one size fits all and that includes how we represent the outdoor sporting world. We promise to highlight and showcase women of all ages, sizes, races, and gender-identities, not only in our advertisements but also in our community. We will push the manufacturers to have real women modeling their products, AND SUPPORT THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY MADE THE CHANGE.
Listening to Your Needs: You’re out there utilizing the gear, having the adventures, and we need to know what you need. This isn’t about what we think the industry needs, it’s about a community of women building something together. Our plan is to have more communication between designers and the women using the gear through virtual and hopefully someday soon, in-person events. We will always listen to your voice! E2T Adventures is about you!
Knowledge Base: Too many women don’t have the knowledge they need to enjoy outdoor adventures. E2T Adventures will provide content and knowledge through community and guest speakers, to help more women get out and adventure.
Patience is Key: We are overcoming centuries of patriarchy and while we are going to work as hard and as fast as possible, we have to realize that this will take time, diligence, and a building of our community as well as funds. BUT THERE’S NOTHING WE CAN’T DO TOGETHER!
How do I get involved?
Speak Up! Fill out the survey. We need to know the true aspect of the problem women face when buying and utilizing gear. Your voice matters.
Buy from the store. Even if it’s just a sticker, it helps us keep the lights on and to support manufacturers who are making the gear we need and want. The more revenue we generate as a community the more we can influence the market and help LAUNCH female designers.
Be an active part of the community. Comment and share E2T Adventures blog posts, podcasts, and youtube videos.
